first tooth. first birthday. first appointment.
You might think your kiddo is too young to come to the dentist, but the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that children see the dentist by the time their first tooth erupts or by their first birthday. We help parents with oral hygiene tips for home, dietary questions, when and what toothpaste to use., as well as answering many other common questions.
referral for dental work.
If your child has been referred to BPD for dental work, the first appointment with us will be a consult appointment. At this appointment, we will examine your child clinically as well as radiographically (x-rays) so that we can properly discuss findings, recommendations and treatment plans. This appointment also allows your child to meet and get to know Dr. Erik or Dr. Beth so your child can feel comfortable with them when they have their dental treatment. Please understand that NO TREATMENT will be performed at this consult appointment.
